A learner driver has crashed his car into a house at Werribee.

Just after midnight, a teenager behind the wheel of a Mazda sedan lost control on Tarneit Road, collided with another vehicle, then crashed through a fence and into the front of a house.

A 38-year-old woman who was inside the house at the time of the incident wasn’t injured but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The 17-year-old learner driver was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

His passenger — an 18-year-old — woman was not injured.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle escaped unharmed.

Police investigating the cause of the crash are yet to interview the teen.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
