Teenage boys arrested after one was allegedly caught with fake gun

Two teenage boys have been arrested at Viewbank Secondary College after one was allegedly caught in possession of a gun.

It turned out be a fake.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at a Viewbank at 10.30am on Thursday, with police seizing an imitation firearm at the scene.

A second boy, also 17, was arrested at the school in relation to the incident.

Both boys have been released pending enquiries and the investigation is ongoing.
