A couple of teens from one of Melbourne’s leading schools have been called into question after they failed to give up their seat for a mum with a newborn on a crowded train.

3AW Drive producer Tom Andronas witnessed the incident on the Hurstbridge line last Thursday.

A woman with a pram, several bags and a newborn in her arms got on the train and made her way towards the seats designated for the disabled, pregnant or elderly.

But the two boys, in uniform, failed to move.

‘It is appalling, isn’t it,’ Tom Elliott said.

The school has been contacted for comment.
