Teenage school girl fighting for life after being hit by a car at Scoresby
A young teenage girl is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a car at Scoresby.
Police say the 14-year-old girl was running across Scoresby road to catch a bus around 8am on Friday morning when she was hit by an oncoming Mazda CX5.
She suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to the Royal Childrens Hospital in a critical condition.
Police say the 25-year-old woman driving the Mazda wasn’t injured – and stopped at the scene.
Northbound lanes of Scoresby Road remain closed near Ferntree Gully Road.
