Teenager shot multiple times while sleeping in suspected drive-by

Police do not yet know the circumstances which led to a 17-year-old being shot reportedly 15 times in Endeavour Hills just after 1am this morning.

3AW police reporter, Pat Mitchell, says the shots echoed throughout the court waking up neighbours.

“Another neighbour saw a car speeding off shortly after the shots, so it sounds like a drive-by shooting,” he told Neil Mitchell.

The teenager is believed to have been asleep when a number of shots were fired from the street around 1:20am this morning.

The teenager suffered non life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Other family members inside the home at the time weren’t injured.
