Teenager stabbed in Melton park overnight
Two teenage boys, aged just 13 and 16 have been charged after another boy was stabbed in a Melton park on Monday night.
Emergency services were called to a reserve just off High Street following reports of an assault just before 6pm July 16.
It’s believed the boy was walking along the footpath when he was approached and assaulted by two unknown offenders.
The 14-year-old Kurunjang boy was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, where he remains.
The offenders fled the scene on foot.
The 13-year-old Melton boy has been remanded and the 16-year-old bailed.
Both have been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, affray and assault and weapons related offences.
