Teenagers allegedly break into 30 cars overnight
Two teenagers have been arrested after allegedly breaking into and damaging up to 30 cars in Melbourne’s east overnight.
Police say the pair, both males aged 18, began their crime spree about 7.45pm last night and continued until they were arrested about 2.30am on Stoda Street, Heathmont.
It’s believed the break-ins occurred in Wantirna Road, Bedford Road, Great Ryrie Street and Reilly Street, around the Ringwood and Heathmont Railway Stations, the Ringwood Uniting Church, and Ringwood Federation Estate.
The teenagers, from Heathmont and Croydon are expected to be charged with multiple counts of theft from motor vehicle and criminal damage.
