Teens threaten man with a machete on destructive Bayswater walk
The dog squad has helped track down four teenagers after a man was threatened with a machete and several vehicles were damaged in Bayswater.
Police say at least five vehicles were damaged by the youths, aged between 15 and 17, as they walked the streets after the curfew began last night.
One resident confronted the youths but retreated to his home when threatened with a machete.
The vehicle damage occurred on Bona Vista Road, Orange Grove and Terama Crescent between 9.15pm and 9.30pm.
Police arrested the four boys with the assistance of the dog squad.
All four teens — a 16-year-old from Boronia, and two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old from Bayswater — are expected to be charged with criminal offences and weapons offences.
