Telstra boss Andy Penn joins Tom Elliott in studio

Australian internet traffic is growing by a whopping 50 per cent a year, the boss of Telstra has revealed.

Telstra CEO Andy Penn joined Tom Elliott on Friday for an in-depth chat about the future of the telecommunications company.

He said the constant growth in digital presented many challenges.?

‘Just imagine if the traffic on the road increased by 50 per cent per annum,’ Mr Penn explained on 3AW Drive.

‘You’ve got to do a fair bit of infrastructure and investment to keep pace.’
