Ten-year-old who lost her arm in horror bus crash provides update on her recovery

Ten-year-old Awheata, who lost her arm in a horrific school bus crash in Eynesbury three months ago, says she “feels like a normal kid” again.

She was among several children seriously injured in the crash on May 16.

The children and their families recently went on a camp to help in their recovery, with Awheata’s dad Daniel telling Neil Mitchell she took part in most activities and went swimming for the first time since the crash.
