Tensions flare in North Melbourne intra-club match

Tensions have boiled over at Arden street.

North Melbourne’s intra-club practice match has erupted into a couple of fiery clashes as competition for spots heats up.

One incident involved Luke McDonald and Lindsay Thomas, while the other pitted Andrew Swallow against young ruckman Braydon Preuss.

It’s the second recent incident involving McDonald, after he and Shaun Higgins had an off-the-ball scuffle at training.

For their part, North Melbourne seems unconcerned about the incidents, promoting footage of the latter through their social media channels as a demonstration how hard the players are training.

Swallow denied today’s exchanges were the result of bad blood between the players.
