Terrifying armed robbery at Chadstone McDonalds

There’s been a terrifying armed robbery at a McDonalds at Chadstone.

A parent of a young worker at the store has told 3AW mornings up to half a dozen youths – possibly linked to the Apex gang – jumped the counter and held knives to the throats of teenage staff members.

Police have confirmed the incident happened on Sunday night around 8.30pm.

A quantity of cash was stolen.

Nobody was injured.

No arrests have been made.

A similar attack happened at the McDonalds outlet on EastLink at Scoresby on August 10.

It’s unclear whether the two incidents are linked.
