TGA approves new COVID-19 vaccine

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has granted provisional approval for the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine in Australia.
It will be available for people aged 18 years or older.
It’s the first protein-based COVID-19 vaccine to get the tick of approval in Australia.
Those wanting the Novavax vaccine will need to get two doses, three weeks apart, to be considered fully vaccinated.
It hasn’t been approved as a booster shot.
