The ‘absurd’ way the Victorian government may check if properties are vacant

Taxes on vacant residential properties will be extended from Melbourne to the entire state from 2025 and the Victorian Opposition claims an “absurd” step may be taken to catch people lying about vacant properties.

Shadow Treasurer Brad Rowswell told Neil Mitchell “if it wasn’t so absurd it would be laughable”.
