Police are investigating several sexual assaults linked to an employee who worked at a number of childcare centres across Melbourne.

26-year-old Point Cook man Joshua Brown has been charged with over 70 offences, relating to eight victims.

Acting commander of crime command at Victoria Police, Janet Stevenson, told Jacqui Felgate she recommends everyone with a child in childcare check the dedicated Victoria Police website.

“If your child wasn’t there during that period it’s safe to say you don’t have anything to worry about,” she said on 3AW Drive.

Commander Stevenson said those who are distressed are welcome to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
