The ‘alarming’ drop in Australian student performance in the last 20 years

Australian students have fallen behind by an entire year in maths and reading in the past 20 years, an alarming new international study reveals.

It comes despite federal school funding rising from $6 billion a year to $27 billion a year over the same time period.

Ross says it’s “quite alarming”.
