The app that could replace Myki

A new app could do away with Myki cards.

Bob Prosser, who developed the app, told Tom Elliott the technology behind the app could be used to replace all sorts of cards in your wallet.

‘The idea is you just walk up to one of the ticket machines, touch on, and the screen changes colour,’ Mr Prosser said.

‘The inspector can just look at the colour, they don’t have to take your ticket and put it in a machine.’

Mr Prosser has been unable reach Public Transport Victoria to see if they are interested in the app.
