Caroline Wilson says the AFL should’ve moved Friday night start times back earlier than just 10 minutes, adamant that the adjusted start time of 7:40pm is too late.

After fan feedback, all Friday night matches will be begin earlier than in 2023, where the first bounce occurred at 7:50pm.

Caro wonders why the AFL even bothered to change the start time for Friday night footy if they were only going to shift it back 10 minutes.

“Clearly there must be a broadcast issue here,” she told Sam McClure on Wide World of Sports.

“I just assumed that this was a priority for the AFL, but it clearly wasn’t. I don’t know why you would even bother moving (the Friday night start time) by just 10 minutes.

“(7:40pm) is still too late.”
