An Australian student can’t believe it, but he’s heading to the Oscars today!

Lachlan Pendragon, 27, made a stop-motion film in his Brisbane home during lockdown.

The short film, An Ostrich Told Me the World Is Fake and I Think I Believe It, has now been nominated in the animated short film category at the Oscars!

“This is my doctorate film,” he told Ross and Russel.

“It’s been a pretty small production that miraculously made its way to the Oscars.”
