The Australian Tax Office is installing squat toilets at Box Hill office

The Australian Tax office is now installing squat toilets at its Box Hill office.

The toilets are being installed to cater for culturally-diverse employees.

Tom Elliott spoke with Jeff Lapidos, Tax Branch Secretary of the Australian Services Union.

Jeff says the Canberra office toilets were being misused and left in an unhygienic matter.

One or more people weren’t using the conventional toilets correctly – ‘Leaving a mess behind.’

‘There’s nothing wrong with the tax office doing this, and I support them.’ Mr Lapidos told 3AW Drive.

‘I simply refuse to believe that ATO employees don’t know how to use a normal dunny…’ – says Tom.
