‘The Battle of Long Tan’ author David Cameron with Denis Walter

On a day of reflection and pause, Australian Diggers who served their country in Vietnam are being honoured for their sacrifice. 

Military historian and author David W Cameron’s new book The Battle of Long Tan details some of the personal anecdotes and recreations from Vietnam veterans.

He told Denis Walter about one veteran who told him he knew talking about it would open up old wounds, but he was ready for the story to be told.
