In the lead up to her death, Olivia Newton-John was laying the groundwork for one final act of activism.

The actress, singer and activist had reportedly asked a trusted advisor in Melbourne to provide her with briefing notes on Victorian Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas, Federal Health Minister Mark Butler and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

“What she was planning to do was write a letter of introduction to those people and then to set up zoom meetings with them, and this was all about pushing the whole concept of medicinal cannabis, particularly cannabis oil which had been giving her enormous relief,” entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Ross and Russel.
