The ‘big issue’ Tom Elliott has with Jacinta Allan’s ‘epiphany’ on youth crime

Tom Elliott has weighed in on Premier Jacinta Allan and her government’s new plans to address the youth crime crisis in Victoria.

The 3AW Mornings host stated how the state government appears to be copying the Liberal government in Queensland, when it comes to their “adult crime, adult time” approach.

“I’ve got my doubts about how this thing will work,” he said.

“It may well be a step in the right direction.”

Spokesman for the Australian Lawyers Alliance, Greg Barns SC, then told Tom Elliott it’s a “knee-jerk reaction” from the state government.

“The Allan government has got its priorities wrong,” Mr Barns said on 3AW Mornings.
