The ‘big take out’ from new City of Melbourne budget

The City of Melbourne is raking in 60 per cent more revenue from fines, according to latest City of Melbourne budget.

The budget was released on Tuesday, with 3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate picking out a number of key details in the latest numbers.

“The big take out from this budget is fines are up 60 per cent,” Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.

“Revenue from parking fees are also forecast to jump 11 per cent and bring in more than $54 million.”
