The Block winners thought they had ‘no hope’ when they learnt what their reserve was

Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie have pocketed $744,444.44 after winning the 2021 season of The Block on Sunday night.

But the couple revealed they thought they had “no hope” when they learnt what their reserve was.

Their Bronte Court, Hampton property had a price guide of $2.8 million to $3 million, and the reserve was set at $3.4 million.

“We thought there would be no buyers at that level,” Mark told Dee Dee.

“We all felt that with a reserve of $3.4 million for the four houses of similar proportion … that was unattainable.”
