The Buddhist protest outside of a Melbourne comedy pub

A group of 100 angry Buddhists have protested outside of the Rubber Chicken Comedy Pub in South Melbourne, after a joke was made directed towards the Dalai Lama.

Comedian Lewis Spears made a joke referencing a video showing the Dalai Lama asking a young boy to suck his tongue.

The owner of the comedy pub, Morry Morgan, defended the comedian and his joke and claims the Rubber Chicken has “always supported the freedom of speech”.
