‘The bureaucracy is paralysing’: MP slams admin ‘failures’ as fire relief payments cause confusion

Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland, has slammed administrative “failures” and bureaucracy for causing confusion among Victorians in impact zones.

“We should be so well rehearsed when it comes to natural disasters and emergencies and bushfires in Australia, but that is where we’re at,” Ms Cleeland told Heidi Murphy.

“The bureaucracy is paralysing any form of recovery on the ground.”
