The case for making the North Richmond supervised drug injecting permanent
The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association says there is no doubt the North Richmond supervised drug injecting room is “doing the job” it was established to do, despite the constant controversy surrounding the facility.
The legislation covering the injecting room’s five-year trial expires at the end of June, with plans to make the facility permanent expected to be put to cabinet this week.
Sam Biondo, Executive Officer at the The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association, told 3AW Mornings that should happen.
