The case for offering free public transport to students and seniors

A Victorian upper house MP is helping push a proposal that would offer free metro public transport to students, seniors and pensioners in a bid to unclog the state’s freeways and limit pollution.

Clifford Hayes from Sustainable Australia told 3AW Drive it would help encourage people back on public transport, post pandemic.

“We think it’s something worth working on,” he said.
