The child who appeared in an iconic ad with Max Walker has paid tribute to the late sportsman.

Adam Garnett starred with the former cricketer in a TV commercial for Aerogard back in 1977, when he was just nine years of age.

He told Neil Mitchell he’d kept in touch with Walker ever since.

‘That’s the kind of guy he was,’ Adam said.

Walker passed away on Wednesday, aged 68, and Adam said every word that’s been written about him since has been true.

‘He was a genuine, thoughtful, caring guy.’
