The claim from a Liberal MP which illustrates the ‘silliness’ of the machete bin program

Liberal MP Nick McGowan has made the claim that a simple $9 tool from Bunnings could be used to break into the Allan government’s machete bins.

The program costs $13 million, and while Mr McGowan isn’t advocating anyone to open up the bins, he said “it just illustrates the silliness of the entire program”.

“It’s so insecure, it’s almost comical,” he told Tom Elliott.
