The compelling case for scrapping the luxury car tax
The CEO of the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce has backed calls to scrap the luxury car tax.
The tax was put in pace to protect the Australian car manufacturing sector, which has since shut down anyway.
Geoff Gwilym, VACC chief, told 3AW Drive it was time for the tax to go.
“They’re rubbish taxes, Tom, and have been for a long time,” he said.
