Toilet paper company Sorbent is trying to keep up with increasing gas prices, which the company’s gas costs to soar by up to 300 per cent heading into 2023.

Gas has gone from $10 dollars a gigajoule last year to now $30 to $40 dollars a gigajoule.

Director and acting CEO of Sorbent, Steve Nicholson, wants consultation with manufacturers more than anything else.

“It really is a complex situation,” Mr Nicholson told Tom Elliott.

“What we want to do is try and get some consultation going here with local manufacturers.”

“The pressure that this is going to place on our business is going to be incredible.”
