The council that needs to take a ‘good, hard’ look at itself

Jacqui Felgate has called one of the City of Stonnington councillors after what he had to say at a meeting last night.

Councillor Steve Stefanopoulos had some comments to make about an upcoming event for charity Very Special Kids, and it caught the attention of the 3AW Drive host.

“I can’t believe this happened,” Felgate said.

“Maybe the council should focus on collecting the bins, passing some planning permits and doing the job that they’re supposed to do.

“The council, and that councillor in particular, I think needs to take good, hard look at itself.”

Parent Neville, who lost his son 17 years ago, rang in and was emotional, labelling Councillor Stefanopoulos an “idiot”.
