The country to dethrone Bali as Australia’s top tourist destination

Bali has been dethroned as Australia’s top tourist desination by Japan, according to the latest data from Expedia.

Tokyo in patricular has become more popular than Bali for international travel for Australians, which surprised Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.

Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Travel Industry Association, Dean Long, then explained why Japan has become such a popular tourist destination.
