The dangerous trend developing on TikTok

Dentists across the country are warning Australians to stop following do-it-yourself (DIY) dental treatment tutorials which have increased in popularity on the social media platform TikTok.

President of the Australian Dental Association, Stephen Liew, explained the trend and the damage the tutorials can cause to people’s teeth.

“Severe long-term consequences are likely,” Mr Liew told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
