Zapping your brain with electricity could help stop your food cravings and treat conditions like obesity, a study in the United States has found.

It’s hoped the device could eventually become available in Australia.

Dr Casey Halpern, a neurosurgeon from the University of Pennsylvania who led the study, explained how it worked on 3AW Breakfast.
