Blue-light blocking lenses offer no benefit in reducing eye strain or visual fatigue, but a diet change might.

A new research review by the University of Melbourne’s Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences found fatty fish may reduce dry eye symptoms associated with computer vision syndrome.

Accredited practising dietitian Simone Austin says “two or three serves a week” are suggested.

It’s thought Omega-3 fatty acids may help reduce digital eye strain symptoms by 20 per cent.

An estimated three-in-four frequent digital users report some visual fatigue.
