The ‘distasteful’ issue Tom Elliott spoke about as horrific prison story comes to light

Tom Elliott has weighed in on the story of a female prisoner who was sexually assaulted by a transgender murderer while in prison back in 2022, which has made the front page of the Herald Sun this morning.

“It’s a distasteful issue but one that needs to be looked at,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

It’s been revealed the Allan government made a secret payout to the female prisoner who was assaulted, but has since been made public.

“This is where the whole transgender argument where the rubber hits the road,” he added.

CEO of the Women’s Forum Australia, Rachael Wong, then spoke about what “really interested” her about the whole situation, and what made her “really angry”.

“Why has it taken so long for there to be justice for this woman?” Ms Wong asked on 3AW Mornings.
