The Elliotts make embarrassing admissions in candid sex chat
Media power couple Tom and Elise Elliott have detailed embarrassing stories from their past in a candid discussion about sex education.
The Melbourne radio stars and parents were discussing a recent SMH article about conversations with children about sex on their podcast The Elliott Exchange when the conversation turned to their own formative experiences.
“I do feel some shame when it comes to talking about the science of human reproduction,” Tom admitted, before going on to detail the extent of his own sex education from his late father, businessman John Elliott.
“In 1985 I was sitting with my father watching the football replay on a Saturday night and [he said] ‘Now I know you’re going out with a girl. Don’t do anything stupid’.
“And that was that! I remember thinking ‘So what exactly does he mean? Do it? Don’t do it? Use contraception?’.”
Elise, meanwhile, recalled raiding her school library shelves as a 17-year-old to learn about sex after an embarrassing faux pas among male friends.
