A bottle shop in Melbourne’s north has become the scene of the state’s latest horrifying machete attack.

A Dan Murphy’s in Fawkner was targeted at around 2:30pm on Saturday, with police confirming a machete was produced after a man attempted to steal bottles of alcohol.
