An “extraordinary figure” on immigration in Australia has caught Tom Elliott’s attention this morning.

It led the 3AW Mornings host to say “this truly is Labor’s Big Australia policy”.

“And you wonder why we have a housing crisis in this state?” he said.

Chief Economist of MacroBusiness and former economist with the Victorian Treasury, Leith van Onselen, then slammed the federal government’s “mad” immigration policy.

“It’s an absolute disaster,” Mr van Onselen told Tom Elliott.
