A German couple paid an astronomical taxi fare to get from Melbourne airport to their Albert Park hotel last week.

The couple’s tour guide contacted the taxi company involved, who said the driver claims they forgot a bag, so he has to return to the airport and then back to Albert Park again, which the couple denies.
