The factors leading to more young men getting vasectomies
New data from Medicare from 2022-23 shows 155 boys aged 15 to 24 years old had a vasectomy, which is a 96 per cent increase on 2018-2019.
Tom Elliott couldn’t believe the new data, and Urologist at the Epworth Freemasons, Professor Nathan Lawrentschuk, went through the factors leading to more young men wanting the procedure and the options for if they want to reverse the procedure.
“I’m just amazed that teenage boys would even contemplate such a procedure,” the 3AW Drive host said.
