The famous airport where missing luggage is a ‘big’ problem

There have been massive spikes in lost luggage with more than 26 million bags going missing around the world in the past year.

Chief executive of the Australian Travel Industry Association, Dean Long, says the number of missing luggage has decreased but numbers are still higher than average.

“There’s a lot of people lost from ground handling particularly in Europe … the rest of the world seems to have caught it up, it’s not really an issue domestically anymore,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
