Recent research has found five personality traits are linked to a longer life expectancy.

While personality traits tend to be relatively fixed throughout a person’s life, psychologist Sabina Read says we can “dial them up” if we want to.

Of the five traits identified, Sabina says evidence shows conscientiousness is one of the “most influential” when it comes to lifespan.
