Brad Battin’s position as state opposition leader is set to come under further scrutiny following the release of new polling.

New Redbridge data suggests Labor now remains in line to comfortably win a fourth term at next year’s state election.

And that isn’t good news for Mr Battin, who took over as Liberal leader in December.

“You wouldn’t want to be Brad Battin this morning,” Herald Sun state political editor Shannon Deery said on 3AW Breakfast.

“He took over at a time when the state Liberal Party was recording its highest support in about seven years.”
