The GoodSAM responder who saved his old teacher’s life
Jack Barrand suffered a heart attack in March of this year.
His wife started performing CPR, having called an ambulance, but then a GoodSAM responder arrived to help revive Mr Barrand.
GoodSAM provides people with the ability to share their location and live video from their mobile without needing an app for those needing emergency services.
The responder was Nick Elmes, who was able to successfully revive the 70-year old.
“It was very confronting but a fantastic outcome,” Mr Elmes told Neil Mitchell.
It turns out the two had a previous connection with Mr Barrand having tought Mr Elmes over 30 years ago!
