The Greens are calling for a debate about the working week, with a proposal to shorten it to just four days.

Green’s leader Richard Di Natale tells Neil Mitchell he wants to encourage productivity and help people spend more time with their family.

‘The evidence is pretty clear, people who work long hours it’s bad for peoples physical health, it’s bad for their mental health, it’s bad for their relationships.

‘We’re going backwards.

‘Australians are working longer than almost any other developed country on earth,’ Di Natale said on 3AW Mornings.
