RUMOUR CONFIRMED: The iconic house from the The Castle could be on its way to New South Wales.

The current owner of the Strathmore weatherboard wants to push it over for townhouses and it’s been denied heritage listing.

Dean Druce from the Corowa Whiskey tourist attraction tells 3AW’s Justin and Kate, while talks are in the early stages, he’d like to see it take pride of place on his property in its original form.

‘As much as we possibly can! We’re very lucky that there’s a set of power lines out the front, and we’ll try and find some gates and put them in there,’ Mr Druce tells 3AW Breakfast.
